Music Majors Associate degrees have designations that effectively act as "majors", such as the Associate of Applied Science (AAS). Certificate programs do not have majors as such; they carry a designation (for instance a certificate in Audio Engineering) which is much more specific than a general degree title. |

Music Accreditation When assessing quality, you can also look at whether a school or program has any memberships in, or endorsements by, discipline-specific professional associations which reflect certain standards of quality, but this is not the same as official accreditation. |
